Check the destination’s country code and number format before making an international call. Bangladesh’s country calling code is +880.
Use the international format
ITU publishes country-code and national-numbering references. The international access prefix depends on the network you are calling from; mobile address books commonly use the plus sign before the country code.
Before calling
- Get the number from the organisation’s own current contact page.
- Check whether a domestic leading zero must be omitted for international use.
- Confirm international calling or roaming charges with your provider.
- Check the destination’s local time.
Short codes and domestic toll-free numbers may not work from abroad. Never guess an emergency or hospital number from an old directory.
